Hi! I'm Oscar, a fresh Computer Science graduate from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. I'm passionate about using technology to solve real-world problems and creating meaningful impact through innovation.

That has taken me from UAV-based concrete inspection to audio descriptions for visually impaired users and music you can feel.

Outside technology, I enjoy playing the piano, exploring drone videography, and building personal projects with Raspberry Pi. The piano is my way of unwinding and expressing creativity. Music and coding share a similar rhythm: both take patience and practice.

UAV Defect
Inspection

Smart infrastructure

A UAV- and AI-based concrete defect inspection system for outdoor structures in Hong Kong. Uses YOLO11m multi-class detection, DJI SRT telemetry, and a web platform for automated reporting.

  • Developed an end-to-end UAV inspection system for Hong Kong's ageing concrete structures, training a custom YOLO11m detector using 1,700+ labelled images to automate multi-class defect identification.
  • Deployed a lightweight web platform to process inspection videos and DJI SRT telemetry, enabling keyframe-based automated screening and the generation of standardized PDF/CSV reports across 15 real-world test cases.
  • Won First Runner-up at PolyU COMP Best Project Award 2026.
